Weekly Update

5^th Grade Weekly Update

Dear Parents,

The Spring Break is over but not without having made the end of March seem to reach the middle of April faster than expected. We still have a number of events on the horizon for what remains of the school year and the first of these is our Science Fair next Thursday, April 21^st. Please join us as our budding scientists from all grades present their hypotheses and describe the experiments they used to test them. The fun starts at 9A.M. and ends shortly before noon.

After the Science Fair, we still have one more exciting activity in April and that is our annual school Field Trip. This year we will be taking the class to Futian Village Eco-environmental Farm. In true H.I.S. tradition, this outing seems certain to combine fun with learning.

Upcoming Events:

April 21^st – Science Fair

Please take note of the date of our annual Science Fair above. The students are currently working hard to complete their projects and write their reports. The event promises to be both interesting and entertaining. I look forward to seeing you there.

April 29th – School-wide Field Trip

May 9^th – 13^th – IOWA TEST WEEK

May 16^th – Mid-semester Break
